Everton are the first team through to the Vitality Women’s FA Cup Final at Wembley after a 3-0 win over Birmingham City.

The Toffees were dominant against their hosts in the first half but with clear-cut chances hard to find.

Rikke Sevecke hit a volley against the bar, while Lucy Graham’s goal-bound shot was blocked and Laura Hampton turned away Channy Boye-Hlorkah’s delivery.

Birmingham almost held out until the break, until Izzy Chistiansen flicked the ball into the box for Simone Magill to control and rifle high into the net.

Claudia Walker might have levelled against her former side but the City forward’s effort was deflected over the bar.

Everton then doubled the lead on the hour, Ingrid Moe Wold allowed too much time to cross and Nicoline Sorensen turning the ball home.

The victory was ensured in the dying minutes as Valerie Gauvin again came off the bench to score.

Manchester City and Arsenal clash in the 2019/20 second semi-final tomorrow night (Thursday 1 October), kick-off at Academy Stadium is 7.15pm, with the game live on BBC 2.
