West Midlands League leaders Stourbridge won away to Derby County, two divisions their senior, Middlesbrough bowed out on penalties at Chorley after an eight-goal thriller.
Exeter City eliminated Cardiff City Ladies 3-1 with a Connie Pengelly hat-trick and two FAWNL Division 1 sides went out to regional opposition, as Salford City Lionesses sent Alnwick Town to a 4-0 defeat and Northampton Town beat Bedworth United in a shoot-out.
Clapton overcame a Bedford side from two tiers higher on penalties, Sutton Coldfield Town took Sheffield FC just as far before losing out, likewise Worthing against Hounslow.
New side Herts Vipers pushed Stevenage hard before going down 6-3 after extra-time. Southampton FC had a narrow win over Swindon Town, Stoke City had to battle to see off Doncaster Rovers Belles 5-3 and Sporting Khalsa gave Wolves and early shock before being beaten 7-1.
