Arsenal and Chelsea both progressed to the 2020/21 Vitality Women’s FA Cup Final at Wembley with clear wins.

Manchester City 0-3 Chelsea
Arsenal 3-0 Brighton & Hove Albion (Att: 1,328)

Blues beat holders

Erin Cuthbert gave Chelsea the lead midway through the first half, her strike via a corner going through the hands of Karima Taieb.

The City keeper was beaten again within five minutes, Melanie Leupolz driving home from 20 yards, but then denied Sam Kerr and later Erin Cuthbert to keep her side in the game.

The third goal came a minute from the end, Jessie Fleming’s cross finding Beth England who headed the ball firmly into the back of the net.

Jess Park almost got a consolation for the hosts but her 20-yard effort was tipped onto the post by Ann-Katrin Berger.

Arsenal were held to a goalless first-half by Brighton, as Victoria Williams nodded the Gunners nearest effort – a Nikita Parris header – off the line.

But two goals came early in the second half, Beth Mead setting up Kim Little to net cleverly at the second attempt, before firing in the next one herself.

Leah Williamson then booked their Wembley Stadium date when finding space to head home from a corner.

The Final is at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 5 December and tickets can be purchased now at thefa.com/tickets, or for accessible tickets call 0800 093 0824.
