Wubben-Moy cancels out Wassmuth opener
Tabea Wassmuth headed Wolfsburg in front after 18 minutes at the Emirates Stadium, having been denied moments earlier by Manuela Zinsberger.
Stina Blackstenius went close for the Gunners after the interval but only the post denied Wassmuth a second goal and Zinsberger turned a Jill Roord effort onto the woodwork.
In the 89th minute Lotte Wubben-Moy fired home via Tobin Heath’s free-kick, to take a 1-1 scoreline into the second leg at the Volkswagen Arena on Thursday 31 March (kick off 5.45pm – live on DAZN/DAZN YouTube).
Juve take lead to Lyon
Juventus were gifted a great chance in only the second minute when keeper Sarah Bouhaddi’s attempted clearance cannoned off a defender, only for Lisa Hurtig to drag her shot narrowly wide of the far post.
It was instead Lyon who scored early on, Selma Bacha with the cross and Catarina Macario heading out of the reach of Pauline Peyraud-Magnin and into the far corner of the net.
Cristiana Girelli cleared the ball off the line from Melvine Malard, who also had a goal ruled out for offside.
Lyon’s Ellie Carpenter was sent off after the hour mark, Valentina Cernoia soon hit the bar and Juve were level on 71 minutes through Girelli when Bouhaddi spilled a cross.
With seven minutes to go Juve went in front, Ariana Caruso threading the ball through for fellow substitute Agnese Bonfantini to slip past the keeper.
