USA edge Canada 1-0 in CONCACAF Women’s Championship final

USA qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics after a late penalty gave them a 1-0 win over Canada in the CONCACAF Women’s Championship final.

Rose Lavelle won the spot-kick with a dozen minutes to go, Alex Morgan converting past Kailen Sheridan.

Canada will play Jamaica in a CONCACAF Olympic play-off in September 2023.

Jamaica won the third-place match, as substitute Kiki Van Zanten scored in extra-time to defeat Costa Rica 1-0.
