France beat Belgium 2-1 at Rotherham to secure a quarter-final place and top spot in UEFA Women’s Euro 2022 Group D.

Kadidiatou Diani took only six minutes or so to put France in front, heading home a Sakina Karchaoui cross to the far post.

France lost Marie-Antoinette Katoto to injury but Belgium keeper Nicky Evrard made a point-blank save as Les Bleues attacked in waves.

But from nowhere, Tessa Wullaert played in Nicole Cayman to prod the Red Flames back on level terms.
