England devastated Norway with a six-goal first half goals as nearly 29,000 fans saw the Lionesses reach the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 quarter-finals.

England made an ideal start with two goals in the first quarter of an hour or so. Ellen White was brought down in the box and Georgia Stanway buried the penalty, before Beth Mead provided Lauren Hemp with a tap-in which needed verifying by VAR as onside.

It was 3-0 by the half-hour mark, White again getting the better of Maria Thorisdottir before advancing to slot past keeper Guro Pettersen.

Mead headed home Hemp’s cross and then danced through the defence to get her second, with Fran Kirby putting one a plate for White to also double her tally for an incredible 6-0 interval lead.
