Tranmere Rovers Women will play their North West League Argyle Sports Kit Cup tie against Alder at Prenton Park on Sunday 25 September.
Chairman, Mark Palios, spoke about the fixture: “TRFC Women were one of the first teams that started the renaissance of women’s football that has culminated in the success of the England Lionesses Euro ’22 Championship win.
“Without the financial resources of the Premier League behind them, they have continued to create opportunities for local girls to experience all of the benefits that football can provide.
“Playing at Prenton Park gives them the opportunity to inspire more youngsters to play the Game. So please come along and support them on Sunday 25th September.”
Head of Women’s Football, Louise Edwards, said: “We are delighted to be able to play this fixture at Prenton Park.
This is something we have been trying to do for a number of years but timetables have always clashed so when we seen this opportunity we jumped at the chance.
It’s an exciting opportunity for the girls and everyone behind the team to be able to showcase what they can do in front of a crowd and on this brilliant pitch.”
Tickets for the 2pm kick-off are £3 for adults, £1 for concessions and available to purchase at trfctickets.co.uk
