Celtic came from behind to beat perennial champions Glasgow City 2-1 as the 2020 Scottish Women’s Premier League season kicked off on Friday evening.
Fran Alonso’s side twice hit the woodwork – with a header from Anita Marcos and Sarah Teegarden’s effort onto the crossbar – but Claire Shine opened the scoring for City seconds after the restart.
Sarah Ewens swiftly equalised from distance and although Hayley Lauder nearly put City back in front, it was the Hoops’ Kelly Clark who netted a dramatic last-minute winner.
