A surprise East Fife slip-up against Buchan was made the most of by Dundee United who took over the Scottish Women’s League Division 1 North leadership with a win over third-placed Inverness City.
1 North – Dundee United go top
Dundee United went top with a 5-1 victory at Inverness City, while East Fife were held to a 3-3 draw at home by ninth-placed Buchan. Aberdeen U-23s were 3-0 winners at Stirling University DS, Cove Rangers came home 4-2 winners over Deveronvale, next-to-bottom Dee Ladies defeated Westdyke 5-3 and Dunfermline Athletic edged Raith Rovers 3-2.
1 South – Thistle push Celtic all the way
Celtic Academy held the leadership with a narrow 3-2 result at eighth-placed Boroughmuir Thistle, Hibernian U-23s sank Morton 7-0. Thistle Weir saw off Westerlands 2-1, Renfrew leapfrogged Cumbernauld Colts into fifth after defeating them 4-2, Rangers DS and Queens Park drew 2-2, while Blackburn United had a walkover against Falkirk.
2 North – Forfar move above Moray
Forfar Farmington DS moved within three points of third-placed Moray when recording a 3-1 away win over them. All the other games in the division were not fulfilled but instead awardcd to Buchan Youth, Montrose Stonehaven over Buckie, Turriff United and Caithness respectively.
2 West – Killie keep pole position
Kilmarnock U-23s maintained a three-point lead with a 2-1 win over Bishopton, while Ayr United beat United Glasgow 5-1. Rutherglen went goal-difference in front of Stranraer whom they edged 3-2, Kilwinning sent Gleniffer Thistle to a fourteenth straight defeat 5-1.
2 Central – Airdrie continue winning streak
Leaders Airdrie made it fifteen wins from sixteen with a 5-0 beating of Broxburn Athletic, second-placed Glasgow City DS hit six at Stenhousemuir. Glasgow Girls DS thrashed their Motherwell counterparts 8-2, which allowed Hamilton Academical U-23s to go fourth with five unanswered goals at Cumbernauld Colts Yellows. Hawick United put eight goals past East Kilbride.
2 East – Close call for Kelty in title chase
Spartans DS kept three points clear with seven goals against East Fife Violets, Kelty Hearts coming successfully through a seen-goal thriller with Edinburgh Caledonia in third. Dundee City 0vercame GOC Academy 3-0 and Dryburgh Athletic had a walkover against Hearts DS.
