Chelsea and Arsenal were the last pair to play in the showpiece final and they have a repeat of that clash which the Blues won. Their two league clashes this season saw Arsenal stun Chelsea on their own ground, before Emma Hayes’ side avenged that heavy defeat with by beating the Gunners in the return.
Reading against Birmingham is the only other all top-flight clash and City have done the double over the Royals this term. They won by the only goal in their home gave and came away 2-1 victors from Adams Park in the first fixture of 2019.
Two table-toppers clash as Championship side Tottenham Hotspur host a massive game with unbeaten WSL leaders Manchester City.
Huddersfield Town are the last remaining FAWNL team in the competition and they face a big test away to West Ham from two tiers above. The Terriers pulled off an upset at Charlton Athletic in the previous round.
Bristol City and Durham are both having good league seasons, with the Vixens fifth in the FAWSL and the Wildcats fourth in the division below with only one defeat in fourteen.
One FAWC side is guaranteed to be in the last eight, with Aston Villa up against Sheffield United whom they lead by a single point. Despite their being so little between them, Villa won their home match 5-1 and the Blades were 4-1 victors in theirs, as well as coming through 2-1 away in a Conti Cup tie.
Manchester United play London Bees at the changed venue of Hyde United FC and the visitors will also be looking for a different outcome to their FAWC meetings. Although there’s just three places separating them, United have put fourteen goals past the Bees in two meetings without reply.
Liverpool entertain Millwall in what has been a season of mixed results so far for the Reds, while the Lionesses got this far with their only win of the entire campaign to date. Both sides were finalists back in the 1990’s, when Millwall lifted the cup once but Liverpool suffered two defeats.
