Southampton FC Women have signed former Charlton Athletic winger Lexi Lloyd-Smith from University of South Alabama.
The England U-17 international spent four years with Arsenal youth teams, two seasons in Chelsea’s WSL Academy, joining Charlton in January 2021 before experiencing the top level of US collegiate football with the USA Jaguars.
Lloyd-Smith told southamptonfc.com: “I’m really excited to get started. I think this is a really great club to continue my journey in the industry.
“The facilities already show you something – the setup in terms of getting the girls involved and being at the facilities where the men are – I think it’s just a great shout to come here.”
