Scotland beat Slovakia 1-0 at Hampden Park to go level on points with their UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 Qualifying group leaders Serbia.

The only goal came just after the hour mark, when Erin Cuthbert’s free-kick was nodded home by Howard, who had not taken a couple of previous opportunities with her head.

Fiona Brown might have had two goals herself before that, while Jane Ross was denied by goalkeeper Maria Korenciova.

Cuthbert also forced a save from Korenciova, Rachel Corsie volleyed over the top and Jane Ross could have sealed the points late on.
