Scotland remained top of the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 qualifying League B group, winning 2-0 in a weather-effected game in Slovakia.
After a goalless first-half, Scotland took just 40 seconds to break the deadlock, Kirsty Hanson cross going across the six-yard box and Claire Emslie arriving just in time at the far post to tuck the ball in.
The local temperature had been up to 35C but the game was temporarily suspended around the hour mark, as the torrential downpours of a storm was causing visibility problems.
Shortly after Slovakia hit the woodwork, they gave the ball away in their own box and Emslie was on hand to make it 2-0 with 71 minutes played.
Scotland finish at home to rivals for top spot Serbia on Tuesday, with promotion to League A and a Euros play-off place at stake.
