England scored twice in the first quarter of the match to win 2-0 away to Republic of Ireland in the UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 Qualifiers.

The Lionesses were two up in under 20 minutes, Lauren James finding the net after a Lucy Bronze header deflected into her path, Alex Greenwood converting a penalty when Ruesha Littlejohn was adjudged to have handballed a volley from Jess Park.

England were awarded a second spot-kick for handball, this time against Louise Quinn but on this occasion Greenwood’s penalty hit the post and rebounded across the goalmouth but away.
