Sheffield United have confirmed the loan signing of Manchester United forward, Ebony Salmon, until the end of the season.

Salmon captained the England at last May’s UEFA Women’s U-17 Championship. The young striker netted her first goal in a 2-1 defeat to Spain before scoring a hat-trick against Italy, securing England’s place in the knockout rounds.

Her club career began at Aston Villa, where she spent 3 years at the Villa Academy before joining the first team for the 17/18 season. On 1st July 2018 Salmon signed for Manchester United, where she is yet to make an appearance.

Blades boss Carla Ward expressed her delight at getting this deal over the line to Blades TV: “Delighted to get Ebony over the line, she’s an exciting young talent who at only 17 has showed she can score goals at this level. She offers a slightly different dimension to what we have, Ebony will give us good options going forward.”
