Sheffield United have confirmed the signing of experienced Jamaica international defender Satara Murray from Bristol City.
The 31-year-old has played in the Barclays Women’s Super League, as well as the NWSL in the USA.
Murray joined reigning WSL champions Liverpool in 2015 from University of North Carolina, before heading back to the USA to play for Houston Dash and then a spell in Norway.
She joined Bristol City for the 2021-22 season and played every game of the team’s WSL campaign, before a move to Racing Louisville, from whom she returned to the Robins last season.
Murray said: “I’m delighted. Ready to take on the challenge lying ahead, looking forward to using my experience and leadership qualities to help us along the way.
“It’s a great group of girls. There’s a great vibe, a young group of girls but willing to learn, willing to compete and that’s what we need.”
Head coach Ash Thompson commented: “Satara fills an important role for us both on and off the pitch, is proven in the top level of several top leagues and we believe she will add a lot to the squad.
“She is a combative player who loves defending and brings significant experience to a young squad.”
