Caroline Weir was on target twice for Scotland but had one effort chalked off.

Scotland went down 3-1 to Norway in their friendly at La Manga in Spain, Caroline Weir scoring a penalty and also having a goal ruled out.

The Norwegians took a two-goal lead after striking twice in a three-minute spell.

A counter-attack in the 11th minute ended with Caroline Graham Hansen chipping the ball over Shannon Lynn and into the corner of the net, before Guro Reiten set up Lisa-Marie Utland to tuck away the second goal.

Lana Cleland had a shot saved for Shelley Kerr’s side, while Frankie Brown blocked a fierce effort from Graham Hansen.

Four minutes into the second half, Weir had the ball in the net but was adjudged to have strayed offside but four minutes further on and Leanne Crichton won a penalty which Weir hit home via the post.

Graham Hansen got through on goal to make it 3-1 on 74 minutes and shortly after was denied a hat-trick by the crossbar, with Lynn turning the rebound to safety.
