Scotland endure difficult UEFA U-17 Elite Round

Scotland finished bottom of their UEFA U-17 Championship Elite Round qualifying group, after a 5-0 defeat by Finland on Wednesday 28th March.

It was 0-0 at half-time but Jenna Topra then hit a hat-trick, with Aino Vuorinen bagging a brace for the Finns, who topped the group ahead of France on goal-difference.

A tough start had seen Scotland hit for six by the French, for whom Grace Kazadi Ntambwe scored twice, with one each from Manon Revelli, Orane Schmeler, Julie Dufour and Madeline Roth.

The Scots then went down to Sweden 4-0 in their second match, Tilda Lindwall and Saga Jontoft on target, before Lisa Johansson scored twice.
