Scotland finished third in their UEFA U-19 Championship Elite Round qualifying group, following Sunday’s goalless draw with Russia at Ainslie Park.

The hosts had created the majority of the chances and went closest to scoring, Jamie-Lee Napier hitting the woodwork in the 71st minute.

While it was the first points of the mini-tournament for both sides, Italy qualified for the finals as group winners.

A 2-2 draw with the Czech Republic saw the Azzurri take top spot on goal-difference, having fallen behind before two goals early in the second half temporarily had them in front.
