Celtic hit double-figures against Forfar Farmington with five goals in either half and a hat-trick for Sarah Ewens.

Celtic got an early goal as Caitlin Hayes fed Sarah Ewens to turn and finish, and it was 2-0 after only 12 minutes after Alana Bruce turned the ball past her own keeper.

Chloe Craig headed home from a corner, Mariah Lee added a smart finish under pressure and Anna Filbey made it 5-0 before the break.

Ewens followed up Craig’s effort against the bar to score her second, Lee did likewise after a spill from the keeper, Craig then converted a penalty, Filbey was another to complete a brace, while Ewens got her hat-trick with a headed effort.

Rangers out of title race

Rangers hit Motherwell for six but are now out of the title race with one game to go.

Nicola Docherty, Kirsten Reilly and Rachel McLauchlan gave Rangers a 3-0 interval lead.

Zoe Ness, Clare Gemmell and an own-goal followed in the second-half, with Rangers remaining two points behind second-placed Celtic in the race for a place in Europe.

Eilidh Adams gave Hibs the lead with a cool finish past Parker-Smith on 17 minutes.

A similar amount of time from the end, the visitors got their second goal, when Amy Muir netted from Colette Cavanagh’s cut-back.
