Eight-goal Glasgow City edge Rangers off the top of the SBS Scottish Women’s Premier League, while goalkeeper Lauren Perry scores for Forfar.

Glasgow City 8-0 Motherwell
Spartans 1-5 Celtic
Hearts 1-1 Forfar Farmington
Rangers 1-0 Hibernian

Glasgow City thrashed Motherwell 8-0 to move top of the table, having a near identical record to Rangers but with more goals scored. Ode Fulutudilu hit a second successive hat-trick, Aoife Colvill and Lauren Davidson each bagged a brace, with Leanne Crichton also on target.

Rangers had a narrow 1-0 victory over Hibernian, Lizzie Arnott scoring two minutes into the second half. Rangers next face an Old Firm derby away to Celtic on Wednesday, live on BBC Alba and BBC iPlayer, kick off 7.35pm.

Celtic remain within five points of the leading pair, following a 5-1 result at Spartans in which Sarah Teegarden marked her return from a year out through injury with a goal. Chloe Craig scored twice including a penalty, Sarah Ewens and Anna Filbey got the other goals for the Hoops, Spartans’ Alana Marshall pulling one back before the break.

Hearts are off the bottom, at the expense of Motherwell, thanks to the point from the draw with Forfar Farmington.  Monica Forsyth lobbed Hearts ahead from a Murron Cunningham free kick but the visitors grabbed a dramatic last-minute leveller, as goalkeeper Lauren Perry saw her set-piece fly in.
