Cardiff Met went goal-difference above Swansea City at the top of the Orchard Welsh Premier Women’s League, ahead of their clash on Wednesday.

Aberystwyth Town 0-2 Cardiff City FC
Cascade 1-1 Briton Ferry Llansawel
Cardiff Met 4-1 Cyncoed
Port Talbot Town 2-0 Abergavenny

Cardiff Met’s Erin Murray hit a hat-trick in the 4-1 defeat of Cyncoed, with Lauren Townsend converting a penalty and Rhianne Oakley replying for the visitors. The result put the Archers two goals ahead of Swansea City but from one game more.

The top two have a crucial clash in the capital on Wednesday, kick off 7.30 and live on Sgorio‘s online channels including YouTube, Facebook and S4C.

Zoe Atkins scored twice in the last quarter of the match, as Cardiff City won 2-0 at Aberystwyth Town to go third in the table.

Port Talbot Town took only five minutes to go ahead against Abergavenny with a Laura May Walkley effort but it was 13 minutes from time before Terri Beddows sealed the win, which sent her side up to fourth spot.

Briton Ferry Llansawel took the lead just after the half-hour through Alexie Clayton but hosts Cascade earned a draw in the basement battle, when Abbie Davies levelled five minutes later. The tie put Briton Ferry level on points with Aberystwyth Town.
