Regional League results on 18 November saw Tranmere Rovers regain the North West Premier Division leadership and Keynsham Town Development go level on points with South West leaders Bishops Lydeard.
EASTERN – Decent point for Dunstable
PREMIER – AFC Dunstable picked up their fifth point when sharing six goals at mid-table Harlow Town, where their Storm Sherry-Burrows scored twice.
ONE – Bowers & Pitsea jumped three places to third with as many goals against Hatfield Peverel, Sophie Dowman, Danielle Styles and Abbie Simmonds all scoring in the second half.
EAST MIDLANDS – Leicester go clear after derby victory
PREMIER – Leicester City WFC Development went clear at the top with a 5-0 defeat in the local derby with Leicester City Ladies, Megan Kenny with two of the goals. Leicester Ladies had claimed their fourth draw when finishing 1-1 against Rise Park in midweek, Dawn Stuart their scorer and Vicky Belshaw finding the net for their opponents.
1 NORTH – Grimsby Borough are up two to third following a 4-0 result at Retford United, where Laura Flecknor got all the goals.
LONDON & SOUTH EAST – KFU climb to second
PREMIER – Kent Football United climbed above Eastbourne Town into second place on goal-difference, Rachel Stevens grabbing a double. AFC Phoenix’s 5-1 victory against Aylesford included a Rebecca May brace and lifted them into fifth.
SOUTH EAST COUNTIES PREMIER – Saltdean United put five goals past hosts Bexhill United to go third in the table, Lauren Amerena with a treble and substitute Ellie Smith adding a quick double. Worthing and Newhaven drew their mid-table match 2-2, Eastbourne LFC leapfrogged Lewes Foundation into seventh having edged them 1-0 with a Melissa Ferguson second-half effort.
NORTH EAST – Nine in a row for Durham
PREMIER – Durham Cestria’s ninth straight win came 6-2 over Ryton & Crawcrook Albion Tynedale, Sophie Hodgson led the way with three goals and Lauren Robson added a couple. York City’s 3-1 result over Rotherham United moved them up three places to within a goal of second-in-the-table Harrogate Town.
1 NORTH – Redcar Town are three points ahead of the rest after a 5-1 win against Norton & Stockton Ancients Reserves, Suzanne Fox was on target twice.
NORTH WEST – Rovers return to summit
PREMIER – Tranmere Rovers hit hosts Accrington for six to take back top spot from Mossley Hill. FC United Of Manchester won 3-1 at Wigan Athletic and Penrith pulled off their second win of the season, 2-1 away to Manchester Stingers in fifth.
1 NORTH – Bury are in fourth position having sent Morecambe Reserves to a 3-1 reverse.
1 SOUTH – West Didsbury & Chorlton made it five wins from five with a fine 6-1 success at Liverpool Feds Reserves, who missed the chance to go top. Stockport County Blues defeated Didsbury by the only goal of the game to rise to fifth.
SOUTHERN – Woodley miss out on leadership
PREMIER – Woodley United would have become leaders with a win but had to settle for a 2-2 tie with visiting Winchester City Flyers, substitute Laura Harris-Steers with the hosts’ second goal.
ONE – Southampton WFC Development started the day level on points with Alton but beat them 6-1, both Yolanda Eccles and Lily Shergill coming off the bench to score. Wokingham & Emmbrook ran out 4-1 winners over Wargrave despite conceding an early goal.
SOUTH WEST – Keynsham catch Bishops
PREMIER – Keynsham Town Development went level on points with leaders Bishops Lydeard, as a Rhianna Ben-Carew brace helped them edge a seven-goal thriller at Ilminster Town. Portishead are just a point behind Middlezoy in mid-table after beating them 3-1 away.
1 EASTERN – A Lisa Coe goal gave Wootton Bassett Town victory at Almondsbury, which put them a point short of leaders Frampton Rangers. An Abby Picton double aided Swindon Town Development in their 4-1 win which meant an eighth defeat on the spin for FC Chippenham.
1 WESTERN – Plymouth Argyle Reserves extended their lead to seven points but were held 2-2 at Pen Mill, for whom Megan Gratton got both goals. Bideford walloped Weston Super Mare 8-1 with Bethany Ellis contributing three times, while Weston Mendip won 3-0 at higher placed Feniton.
