Reading narrowly lead their FA Women’s Continental League Cup group following Friday’s 4-0 win at Coventry United.
The Royals can win Group E, but are reliant on Southampton defeating Spurs on Sunday, with Tottenham otherwise finishing top.
Natasha Dowie nodded Reading ahead just four minutes in from an Amalie Eikeland cross, Sanne Troelsgaard doubled the lead assisted by Lily Woodham. Dowie got her second inside the half hour, with Charlie Wellings completing the scoring on 63 minutes aided by Emma Harries.
Thursday’s Group B game between Blackburn Rovers and Sunderland was postponed until 11 January and the big freeze also accounted for Friday’s scheduled Group D meeting of Lewes and Bristol City.
