London Bees have confirmed that former England veteran Rachel Yankey has taken control of all first team affairs for the remainder of the 2018/19 season.
Speaking after taking the role, Yankey told the club’s website: “I look forward to continuing to support the club and guide the team for the remainder of the season.”
Outgoing Head Coach Luke Swindlehurst will be stepping into a new role as Barnet FC Academy U-18 Head Coach.
Yankey’s first game in charge is the small matter of an SSE Women’s FA Cup away to Manchester United tomorrow.
