Women’s pre-season friendlies for 22 August saw Championship trio Lewes, Liverpool and Watford all hold Barclays FA WSL opponents.

Birmingham City were held to a goalless draw at St Andrews by Liverpool, as Reds’ keeper Rachel Laws turned over a powerful drive from Sarah Ewens and later tipped Louise Quinn’s header onto the bar.
