Former Manchester United youth player Maria Edwards has linked up with Blackburn Rovers for a second time.

The forward spent a season on loan at Rovers from United, before being transferred to Frauen Bundesliga side SGS Essen in 2022.

Alex Brooks – second in Barclay’s Women’s Championship’s Golden Glove race last season – and Georgia Walters have both signed new one-year deals, while Emma Taylor’s contract extension has been triggered.

Midfielder Jemima Dahou recently signed on a permanent basis after leaving Manchester City.

Dahou told rovers.co.uk: “I’m delighted to have signed permanently with Blackburn Rovers. I’ve felt at home here since my loan move, and I’m eager to continue my development and contribute to the team’s success.”
