Lucy Shepherd joins Dallas Trinity as 13 depart Blackburn Rovers Women

Blackburn Rovers announce 13 departing players

Lucy Shepherd, one of 13 players departing Blackburn Rovers at the end of their contracts, signs for USL Super League side Dallas Trinity.

Shepherd signed for the Championship side last season from London City Lionesses and made an immediate impact, winning the team’s Player of The Season award.

Also leaving are Shanell Salgado, Helen Seed, Milly Robertson, Lauren Thomas, Faith Nokuthula, Megan Hornby, Hannah Coan, Emma Doyle and Nicola Worthington, while loan signings Hannah Silcock, Annie Hutchings and Jemima Dahou return to their parent clubs.

Seed made 84 appearances for Rovers whom she joined when just 12-years-old, Hornby played 59 times since signing for the 2018-19 season, Coan was Young Player of The Year last term and was just one short of 50 matches for Blackburn.
