Lydia Bedford has been appointed as the inaugural head coach of Calgary Wild, who are to compete in the Canadian Northern Super League.
She has previously led England squads from U-17s through to the U-23s, been head coach at Leicester City and an assistant at Arsenal.
Her most recent position was with Brentford U-18s, joining in 2023 to become the first women in charge of a Premier League club’s team.
Calgary Wild’s signings so far include former Liverpool and Glasgow City defender, Meikayla Moore.
