Leicester City have added 23-year-old Belgian international defender Sari Kees from OH Leuven in a three-year-deal.

She has represented her country 28 times and helped Leuven to three successive second-place finishes in the Belgian Women’s Super League.

Speaking to LCFC.com, Kees said: “This is a really big opportunity for me coming here from OH Leuven. I have been here twice before with Leuven and the vibes were really good. Now I get the chance to play here and I’m looking forward to getting started.

“In this league, every weekend you have another competitive game to look forward to. A lot of results can happen and it’s a beautiful chance for me. I like to play attractive football and battle in duels, and hopefully I can bring that to the team.”
