Leicester City Women have added to their attacking ranks with the signing of dynamic midfielder Lia Cataldo

Cataldo joins the Foxes having left Millwall Lionesses at the end of the 2018/19 season, previously having won the WSL Development League title in 2017/18 with Arsenal and played at the U-17 Euros.

Speaking to LCWFC TV, Lia Cataldo said: “I decided to join Leicester because I’m looking for a new challenge, Leicester are really interested in developing youth players and bringing through young players which I think is great.

“I think it’s a great opportunity here knowing that the Club are trying to push for promotion, I just can’t wait to be a part of it.”

Leicester City Women Manager, Jonathan Morgan said: “Lia is a very versatile player with plenty of pedigree. Her understanding of the game for her age is fantastic.

“Myself and the Club will be looking to push Lia to the next level whilst also benefiting from her ability straight away.”
