Leicester City Women have made their first signing of the summer with the addition of England Youth midfielder Aimee Everett from Liverpool.

Everett, who helped the Reds lift the FA WSL Development League title last season as well as representing England at U-17 and U-18 levels, told LCWFC TV: “I wanted to come to Leicester City because the club and Jonathan [Morgan}’s philosophy both fitted with my style of play.

His involvement and trust in youth really enticed me to come to this club and I want to test myself in a big league.”

Leicester Manager, Jonathan Morgan said: “Aimee is perfect for the Championship with definite ability to get into the WSL as she gets older.

She’s strong, she’s committed and she’s an enforcer in her area. I’m very pleased to have her on board, she’s an individual who understands what we want to do at Leicester City and also how we can help her.”

Everett will join up with her new teammates on Tuesday 24 June as the squad return to pre-season training ahead of the forthcoming 2019/20 campaign.
