Leicester City have signed 23-year-old Finland international forward Jutta Rantala from Swedish Damallsvenskan outfit Vittsjö GIK.
Rantala has signed a two-year-deal with the Foxes following two seasons in Sweden’s top-flight, where she made 57 appearances in all competitions.
She has 17 caps for her country and former clubs include HJK, with whom she won the Finnish league and cup double.
Speaking to LCFC.com, Rantala said: “It’s exciting to play in a new league and against some of the world’s best players. It’s a new culture here for me in England – it’s obviously different to Sweden and I’m excited to experience that.
“The facilities here at the club are amazing and I think we have everything we need at Belvoir Drive to be able to have a successful season, so I can’t wait to get started with my new team-mates.”
