Bristol City have signed New Zealand international Katie Rood from Juventus, whom she helped claim the Serie A title at the first attempt last season.
“Roody is a player who we feel will add a lot to our squad in terms of her experience at both club and international level.
“The style of football we’re looking to play really suits her attributes and we are excited to have her on-board.”, said Vixens’ manager Tanya Oxtoby.
Bristol City Womens say the 25-year-old striker is looking forward to the new challenges that come with the English game.
“The women’s super league is an exciting league to come in to and I feel as though I’m at a great club.
“There is a great sense of ambition here at Bristol and a strong long-term plan put in place by Tanya.
“Being a professional footballer you get very lucky to experience different countries and each country possesses a different style of play so I’m looking forward to adapting to the challenges that come with the English game,” said Rood.
