Sam Kerr and Charlotte Gammie have collected the April 2022/23 Park’s Motor Group Scottish Women’s Premier League Player of the Month awards.
Kerr is the fourth Rangers player to win the award this season alongside Jenny Dannielson (August), Tessel Middag (September), and Brogan Hay (March). This is her first Player of the Month award having being nominated back in October 2020 whilst playing for Glasgow City.
The Scotland international had a prolific month as Rangers went unbeaten, winning three out of their four matches. Kerr scored five goals, including a hat-trick against Partick Thistle and the only goal in their 1-1 draw against Hearts.
In Park’s Motor Group SWPL 2, Charlotte Gammie picked up the award after helping her side secure the title with four games to spare. Montrose won all four games in the month to extend their unbeaten run to 14 games.
Gammie scored three goals and provided three assists, contributing with a goal scoring action in each of the four games. This included a stunning strike in their 3-1 win over Kilmarnock.
Montrose will be officially presented with the Park’s Motor Group SWPL 2 title on Sunday (14 May) after their match against Queen’s Park which is a 12pm kick-off at Links Park.
