New Zealand international Katie Rood (26) has joined Lewes from Bristol City, having earlier moved to the Vixens in 2018 from Juventus.
Rood was born in Middlesbrough but emigrated to New Zealand when she was 3 and has dual nationality, although she did return to play for Lincoln Ladies.
She plays for New Zealand, was selected for the U-20 World Cup squad in 2012 and is currently the highest goal scorer in the National Knockout Cup.
Manager Fran Alonso told lewsesfc.com: “Katie is a very dynamic, talented and hard-working footballer who has joined us from WSL1 Bristol City and has previously played for Juventus. I am sure she will adapt quickly and fit in well with our team.”
