South Korea veteran Jeon Ga-eul has left Reading FC Women despite having signed a new contract in the summer.

The 33-year-old midfielder/forward – who has over 100 caps for her country – signed from Bristol City ahead of the 2020/21 season but sustained an injury in October 2020, which contributed to her only making five appearances for the Royals.

Reading FC Women tweeted: “We can today announce Ga-eul Jeon has left Reading FC Women.

“We’d like to thank Jeon for all she gave the side, and wish her all the best for the future.”
