Republic of Ireland interim head coach Eileen Gleeson has picked a 25-strong squad for their first games in the UEFA Women’s Nations League.
Ireland will host Northern Ireland on Saturday 22 September, kick-off 1pm at the Aviva Stadium, with over 30,000 tickets already sold.
The squad will then travel directly to Budapest to take on Hungary four days later at the Hidegkuti Nándor Stadium, kick-off 6.30pm and like the first match it will be live on RTÉ2.
There are recalls to the squad for defenders Savannah McCarthy, Hayley Nolan and Éabha O’Mahony, midfielder Tyler Toland and forwards Saoirse Noonan and Emily Whelan.
Injuries rule out Niamh Fahey, Megan Campbell, Aoife Mannion, Jessie Stapleton, Claire Walsh, Tara O’Hanlon, Roma McLaughlin, Jess Ziu, Sinead Farrelly and Leanne Kiernan.
Both Áine O’Gorman and Harriet Scott have retired from international football and will be honoured ahead of the first game.
The squad links up on Monday 18 September 18 to begin preparations at the FAI National Training Centre.
