Glasgow City have signed 25-year-old winger Tyler Dodds from ASD Calcio Pomigliano, whom she helped win promotion to Italy’s Serie A.
The Gateshead-born player has previously had spells at Middlesbrough, Sunderland and Durham, her stint at ‘Boro saw her end as top scorer in two consecutive seasons.
Tyler also played university football for England and Great Britain, featuring in the 2017 World University Games in Taipei, where City’s new boss – Grant Scott – was assistant coach.
Tyler Dodds commenting on signing for Glasgow City: “I’m really excited to get started. Everyone has been so nice and welcoming, and everything feels so professional. I hope I can help the squad and lift trophies here.”
Reuniting with Dodds again, Grant Scott on what she will bring to Glasgow City: “She is a strong wide player, with good pace about her and a good finisher. She knows the game well. She is a great character also and has really fitted into the group.”
