Glasgow City were eliminated from the UEFA Women’s Champions League Round of 32, losing 1-0 at home to Sparta Praha and 3-1 on aggregate.

Glasgow City had a couple of early free-kicks close to the visitors penalty area but a loose back pass let in Sparta’s Lucie Martínková to fire home from the edge of the box.

Tyler Toland found the back of the net with a great strike from distance, only for a foul to be called against City.

Martínková broke through the defence and rounded Lee Alexander, only for Jenna Clark to clear the goal-bound shot.

Sparta had the ball in the net from the resulting corner but the whistle went for a free kick for the hosts.

Although needing two goals to level the aggregate scores with time running out, City could not take advantage of late opportunities.

Pavlina Nepokojová was sent off on 86 minutes for a second booking and Glasgow were then awarded a penalty but Haha Sloupová saved from Leanne Ross.
