Bethany England bags brace for Chelsea Women against Benfica

Chelsea were 3-0 winners over Benfica in the UEFA Women’s Champions League Round of 32 2nd leg, for a comfortable 8-0 aggregate victory.

The visitors lost Corale Costa early on, sustaining a broke nose in a collision with her own goalkeeper.

Bethany England opened the scoring after 28 minutes, her attempted cross wrong-footing the keeper and flying straight in.

Sam Kerr doubled the lead in the 64th minute, having been played in by Guro Reiten.

Drew Spence came off the bench for her 200th Chelsea appearance and then in stoppage time, Fran Kirby crossed for England to tap home.
