Gabby George Gets Lionesses Call-Up

Casey Stoney has withdrawn from the England squad ahead of their 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifying double-header with a calf injury.

Interim head coach Mo Marley has handed Everton defender Gabby George – her first senior England call-up, reports TheFA.com.

George has played across England age groups including Marley’s U-19s and was part of the U-20 squad at the 2014 World Cup.

England face Bosnia & Herzegovina at Walsall’s Banks’s Stadium on Friday 24 November (7.05pm KO) with tickets for this fixture now sold out.

They will then travel to Colchester where they face Kazakhstan at Weston Homes Community Stadium on Tuesday 28 November (7.05pm KO), with only a limited amount of tickets remaining.

Both matches are live on BBC Two and BBC Radio 5Live Sports Extra.

Tickets for England v Kazakhstan are available at £1 for children and concessions and £10 for adults.
