Sheffield United Women’s Veatriki Sarri, Chloe Dixon and goalkeeping duo Becky Flaherty and Emily Batty have all signed new contracts ahead of the 2020/21 season.

Flaherty started every league game until a hip injury curtailed her season, while Batty was a regular starter in the Continental Cup but kept a clean sheet on her league debut away at Coventry United in January.

The versatile Dixon, a regular in several positions over the past two seasons, said: “I believe we have the capability to be going places … I hope we can really compete this year.”

Greece international Sarri shone in the club’s academy and was fast-tracked into the first team early in the 2018-19 season, then played all 21 games of the last campaign.”
