#FIFAWWC Qualifiers : Wales squad named for home double-header

Jayne Ludlow recently named her squad for Wales’ upcoming home games in their FIFA Women’s World Cup Qualification bid.

FIFA WWC QUALIFIERS

  • Bosnia (7 June 19:00, Liberty Stadium, Swansea)
  • Russia (12 June 19:00, Newport Stadium, Newport)

Following a goalless draw against group leaders England, Wales welcome Bosnia-Herzegovina and Russia to Swansea and Newport, reports faw.cymru.

Captain Sophie Ingle will lead a squad that includes the experience of Jess Fishlock, Natasha Harding and Angharad James, with Laura O’Sullivan selected as one of the goalkeepers after her heroics against the Lionesses. Unfortunately Charlie Estcourt misses out due to a knee injury.

Ludlow has added four players to the twenty that were picked for the England match, bringing in Ffion Morgan, Tamsyn Sibanda, Olivia Clarke and forward Grace Horrell.

Both games will be shown live on BBC Two Wales and the BBC Sport website.
