#FAWSL: Fixtures resume after festivities

The Barclays FA Women’s Super League is back from the festive break on Sunday 5 January when leaders Arsenal are home to Birmingham City.

Manchester United v Bristol City (Leigh Sports Village, 12:00) – The FA Player
Chelsea v Reading (Kingsmeadow, 12:30) – BBC Red Button / The FA Player / BBC Sport Website
Arsenal v Birmingham City (Boreham Wood FC, 2pm) – The FA Player
Brighton & Hove Albion v Liverpool (Crawley Town FC, 2pm) – The FA Player
Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester City (Barnet FC, 2pm) – The FA Player
West Ham United v Everton (Rush Green Stadium, 3pm) – The FA Player

The Gunners have a three-point lead over Manchester City who are at Tottenham Hotspur, while Chelsea – now with Sam Kerr and Jamie-Lee Napier on board – are a further point behind but with a game in hand as they host Reading.

Fourth-placed Manchester United meet a Bristol City side still searching for a first win, Everton are level on points with the Red Devils and away at West Ham, while it’s tenth versus eleventh as Brighton entertain a winless Liverpool, who are boosted by the signing of Rachel Furness.

The FA Women’s Championship returns to action on 12 January.
