Arsenal duo Katie McCabe and Vivianne Miedema are among the five Player of the Month nominees, alongside Rachel Corsie (Birmingham City), Claire Emslie (Everton) and Alessia Russo (Manchester United).

Ward’s nomination comes as she unfortunately enters 10 days of self-isolation, due to being one of two positive cases from the most recent round of Covid-19 testing in the WSL and Women’s Championship.
