Nottingham Forest missed the chance to go level on points with the leading pair, after playing out a goalless draw at West Brom. Brighouse did go level on points with fifth-placed Burnley, beating them on their own turf with an Amy Woodruff goal.

Amy Russ struck in stoppage-time as Gillingham grabbed all three points against Crawley and leapfrog them in the table. Bridgwater put nine past Keynsham in going third. Portsmouth are fourth following a 3-1 victory over Chichester & Selsey, Shannon Albuery, Dani Lane and Sammy Quayle their scorers. London Bees came away from MK Dons with a 5-1 result, Jo Wilson’s free-kick gave them an interval lead, she later got her second and Nikki Jancey a hat-trick.
