Derby County missed a chance to go top when held 1-1 at home by tenth-placed Loughborough Lightning. Ellie Gilliatt got the Rams in front but Abbie Benstead equalised via the crossbar from distance. Nottingham Forest had a narrow 1-0 win over basement side Hull City that lifted them to fourth place. The goal came midway through the second half, Mai Moncaster winning the ball from the outrushing keeper and Charlotte Greengrass tucking it home.

Stevenage gained ground on another relegation-threatened team, Norwich City, whom they defeated 2-1 away. Holly Greenwood’s penalty was cancelled out by Freya Symonds but Amy Makewell got the decider.
