FA Women’s National League Northern Premier champions Wolves were held by Brighouse Town in front of nearly 2,500 at Molineux.
Northern Premier Division
Loughborough Lightning 1-1 Nottingham Forest (Att: 184)
Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-2 Brighouse Town (Att: 2,477)
An rarly own-goal from an Amber Hughes cross and a Maz Gauntlett finish agave Wolves a 2-0 half-time lead. Brighouse hit back first through Leah Embley and then substitute Imogen Porteous-Williams in stoppage time.
Nottingham Forest might have gone second with a win but Loughborough’s draw lifted them three points from the drop zone. Lightning led through Sophie Bonser and it was actually just a late Amy West leveller from distance that saw Forest avoid defeat.
